Developing these skills, not only in senior management but at many organizational levels, is critical to effecting change in the workforce and meeting strategic goals. The OI Partners coaching process leverages individual talent and team strengths and equips contributors at all levels to achieve their long-term business priorities. In any coaching situation, properly defined goals and action strategies can provide clear pathways to success.

Our executive coaching programs include many components and establish a clear basis and purpose for working with the individual. Coaching for advancement can provide a strategic focus and support the refinement of key leadership skills. Setting goals and focusing critical thinking skills with action plans for change aligns the individual’s capabilities with business needs. Our programs will provide alternative strategies for behavioral change and facilitate awareness.

Executive Coaching Process:

In any coaching situation, properly defined goals and action strategies can provide clear pathways to success.

The executive coaching process raises the individual’s awareness of personal/professional assets and liabilities, and assists the individual in implementing formalized plans for achieving specific developmental goals.

At the completion of one of our coaching programs, you can expect your executives to have accomplished one or more of the following:

  • Achieved an enhanced leadership style
  • Achieved a clearer self-portrait and better understanding of the effects of one’s leadership style on others
  • Learned how to transition into new areas of responsibility
  • Acquired improved team building skills
  • Improved skills for coaching and developing others within the organization
  • Developed an action plan for continued leadership improvement
Our coaching process includes the following components:
  1. Establishes a clear basis and purpose for working with the individual and defines the roles and responsibilities of those engaged in the process
  2. Conducts a GAP analysis that:
    • Utilizes assessment tools - includes skill-based, psychological and organizational testing, 360 instruments, and interviews within the relevant environment.
    • Identifies specific areas for development.
    • Aligns the individual’s capabilities with business needs.
  3. Sets goals and action plans for change.
  4. Provides closure to the process and outlines future actions.
  5. Creates a follow up plan to assess continued improvement.

Coaching to Improve Performance:
Individual coaching may be utilized for a variety of outcomes. An employee may have excellent technical ability but, because of specific behaviors or unrefined skills, is at risk in the organization. Our executive coaching process can help this valuable employee improve skill sets and become more effective.

Some areas of focus:
  • Strengthening managerial skills
  • Improving leadership skills
  • Building and maintaining a successful team
  • Planning and managing time effectively
  • Developing effective communication skills
  • Focusing critical thinking skills

Coaching for Advancement:
A high-potential employee exhibits the skill and expertise to be considered for advancement, but needs fine-tuning. We will improve existing skills and help the employee learn the new skills needed to help meet your organizational goals. For these individuals, coaching can provide a strategic focus and support the refinement of key leadership skills in preparation for increased organizational responsibilities.

Some areas of focus:
  • Team building
  • Problem solving
  • Managing personal style
  • Managing stress
  • Developing skills for better decision making
  • Executive skill assessment

Coaching to Correct Behavior (Intervention):
An employee may be performing below maximum potential and exhibiting behaviors that, if left unchecked, could lead to further deterioration of performance and more serious consequences. There may be a lack of interpersonal sensitivity, poor self-awareness or ineffective communication, negotiation or critical thinking skills.

Executive coaching will help the individual recognize the specific behaviors and/or assumptions that are problematic. Our programs will provide alternative strategies for behavioral change and facilitate awareness.

Some areas of focus:
  • Improving interpersonal communications skills
  • Developing an accurate self-appraisal
  • Managing stress
  • Developing more effective problem-solving behaviors
  • Modifying personal style
  • Dealing more effectively with conflict
